Also, found 23 Year old year old Jacob Andrew Pendroy and 26 year old Margaret (Brown) Pendroy, and their household had 11 year old Jacob Pace there at census time in 1856.
The young woman Elizabeth A. Pendroy is the sad subject of this written comment in a letter from 1966 to my aunt. "Lizzie, daughter of J.A. and M. Pendroy died Sept. 18, 1879, age 21 years, 2 months and 1 day."
Olive Pendroy did make it into adulthood and married Marsealis Walker in Feb. 17, 1878 in Marion County Iowa. She called herself "Ollie" in the marriage record. She went to North Dakota with her Pendroy family.Some of the Pendroys that were living around Monroe, Iowa pioneered into Mc Henry County, North Dakota in 1882. This included Jacob Andrew (called Andrew) Pendroy and wife Margaret Brown, and his family and also the family of brother James Martin (born 1834) Pendroy. Almost all who pioneered to Dakota Territory were the extended family of Jacob and Margaret (Boots) Pendroy.
