Misc.
A very small pioneer cemetery exists in a farm field near Otley Iowa. Owners say they were recorded as two marked graves and two unmarked. At one time locals thought they may be Mormon graves. But infant name was Donnel(l). And numerous Donnel(l)s lived in that area also. I have entered it here, and someday, someone may recognize it or one of the names. I have my site in all the major search engines now, so someone may find it some day in the future in one of the search engines..
4 Graves
2 not marked- or not readable.
1 grave= Samuel Handen (or Harden or Hardin)(?) 1862
1 grave John Donnel(l) 1863. 11 days. Son of W.W. and S.A. Donnel(l)
This small cemetery is out in a plowed field, but is kept safe by the owners. I was looking for the Pendroy Ground or Pendroy Summit Cemetery, which would have been very near to that part of the country near Italy where Pendroy families did live. Have not seen site but was told about it and called owners on the phone. The owner said she was told at one time the farm it was on was Pendroy Ground. Do not know what the significance is of this. Pendroys lived in several areas around Italy from 1849 to 1883. And many small cemeteries dot the country side over all Iowa.
I am looking for 2 graves, or records that show where they are buried. and hope they are not unmarked, if they still exist . James Pendroy, and (old) Eli Pendroy.
Also am looking for any Berry graves in same area, hoping to find William Berry, Rachel (Pendroy) Berrys husband.
